Antique Stiegel Free Blown Opalescent Enamel dec. Strap Handle Mug 18/19th C.
Very nice late 18th to early 19th century tall enamel decorated Stiegel type mug.  Condition is great but there is a tight crack in the side of the lower handle attachment, where the curl was sheared.  It's only in the lower edge of the handle on one side and travels a little under the curl.  It does not reach the body or the glob of glass that the curl is fused to and almost certainly occurred when the handle was applied.  It is not at all obvious and only seen under very close scrutiny, otherwise fine.   Measures 5&1/2" tall, 3&1/4" across the top.
