Sandwich Lacy Clear Glass Beaded Scroll & Basket of Flowers Salt, Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, MA., c. 1835-1845. This is a fine early flint lacy glass open salt that is very attractive. This salt is Neal BS 2. A salt similar to this is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Blown Tableware, Cup Plates and Salts" by Barlow and Kaiser, plate #1448, where it booked for 0 in clear glass back in 1987. Very nice early Sandwich lacy flint glass salt offered here with the opening bid the reserve and a "Buy It Now". SIZE: The salt is 1 7/8" H. x 1 15/16" W. x 3 3/16" L.. CONDITION: The condition is very good with minimal roughness and one small chip and tiny nicks to the rim. This is very good condition for a rare 150 year old glass salt. This salt is also full of the imperfections often seen in early lacy glass salts. This includes; bubbles, striations, bits of sand and uneven edges.
