Charles Sawyer founded Sawyer Pictures in 1903 in Farmington, Maine. He worked briefly in Rhode Island with the most well know photographer of the time, Wallace Nutting. Charles was joined later by son Harold. The business thrived after moving to Concord, NH in 1922. Of all the hand coloring photographers, Sawyer was focused extensively on New England exteriors, with a special focus on NH. Unlike Nutting and other contemporaries, Sawyer did not do interiors. The only known interior is titled "Pilgrim Mothers".
I pack in sturdy boxes with plenty of packing material.
